Here is the successful halftone I did recently and how I want my currect project to come out. For example, let’s say we have artwork with 35 LPI (lines per inch) dots: 35 LPI x 4.5 157. To determine the proper mesh to use with a particular dot, we multiply by 4.5. I have tried different photos and files and all are doing this same thing. Here’s how we determine both the mesh and the halftone dots we can hold and print. all come out with this kind of rough halftone. I have tried different shapes, different lpi, different output resolutions. This is how my hlaftones are coming out now, no matter the settings I choose. I did this recently on another project and the halftone worked just fine, came out smooth and perfect, and I was working with the same size files and identical settings. Halftone screen - frequency 45 lpi, angle 22.5 degrees, shape round. Now you’re able to toggle between snapshots to see the difference between halftones. Create another snapshot in the History panel and name this one 10/40. Notice that the halftone dots are bigger, then go to Image, Mode, Grayscale, Size Ratio, 1. Start with a flattened image that is 24x24 inch, resolution 300 ppi.īitmap - output resolution 300 ppi, method halftone screen. But when the Halftone screen appears, change the Frequency this time and set it at 10 instead of 38. From here you can change the halftone patterns frequency measured in lines per inch. Can someone help me figure out how to fix this? I've looked through the community help posts and none of the solutions posted are working for me. This opens the Halftone Screen dialog box. When I try to create a halftone, instead of making nice round dots they are coming out very rough.
